Black History Heroes Blog
February is American Heroes History month in the United States. “It began as a way of remembering important people and events in the history of the African diaspora.” (Wikipedia) February was chosen as the celebratory month in the United States because both Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglas were both born in February. In the spirit of honoring this remembrance, 2BC has chosen to share some blogs others have written about African Americans who have contributed to our history as a country.
Today we share a blog from the website Black History Heroes about Charlotte E. Ray, the first African American female attorney and the first woman admitted to practice law before the D. C. Supreme Court.
