Thank you for giving to Second Baptist Church.

Your generosity supports the life of this congregation and extends beyond it—into the Kansas City metro region and into the wider world.

People give in different ways, and many give in more than one way. We encourage you to prayerfully consider how you might contribute through financial gifts, prayer, and service.

Every gift matters, and each act of generosity makes a difference.

We also encourage members to give in proportion to their income, with the goal being the tithe. For some, that is an immediate practice. For others, it becomes a gradual step over time. Wherever you are, we invite you to give with honesty, intention, and freedom.

Ways to Give

In Worship

Place cash or a check (payable to Second Baptist Church) in the offering plate during worship. Offering envelopes are available in the pew racks. A secure drop box is also located in the wall next to the Welcome Center door.

Credit Card or E-Check

Online giving is a safe and flexible option for one-time or recurring gifts. Gifts may be made by debit/credit card (a small processing fee applies) or by ACH draft from a checking or savings account (no fee to the church). Click here to get started.

Second Baptist members may also set up an account in Vanco, our online giving platform, to view current and past gifts.

Automatic Bank Pay

You can use your bank’s online bill-pay service to set up Second Baptist Church as a payee. Your bank will mail a check directly to the church.

The Catalyst Ministry Fund

Second Baptist uses a two-year budget cycle called the Catalyst Ministry Fund. Unless a gift is designated otherwise, financial contributions support this fund. These gifts sustain the ongoing work of the church, including discipleship for children, students, and adults, worship resources, operational ministry expenses, and local and global missions. Every two years, our pastors and leaders plan and budget for the next cycle, then share those plans with the congregation. Members are invited to make a two-year financial commitment as part of that rhythm. If you would like to commit to giving regularly to the Catalyst Ministry Fund, you can complete a commitment card or contact Karri George directly.
