Ways to Get Involved

Where voice, creativity, and faith collide.

There are many ways to get involved at Second Baptist.

Members serve together on Sunday mornings and throughout the week, offering their time in ways that fit their schedules and interests. Some roles are ongoing, while others are tied to specific seasons or events.

Serving is one of the primary ways people get to know one another at Second Baptist. It’s practical, relational, and rooted in shared responsibility for the life of the church. Everyone brings different skills, experience, and availability, and we’re glad to help you find a role that fits where you are right now.

Arts & Environment Team

The Arts & Environment Team works behind the scenes to shape the visual life of the church. This group helps prepare worship and gathering spaces in ways that reflect the rhythms of the church year, particularly during seasons such as Advent, Lent, and Easter. Their work emphasizes care, attention, and visual clarity in the spaces we share.

A/V Team

The A/V Team supports worship each Sunday by managing sound and livestreaming services on Facebook and YouTube. This four-person team helps ensure that both in-person and online worshipers can fully participate in the service.

Children’s Ministry

Children’s Ministry depends on adults who help create a steady, caring presence for our youngest members. Volunteers are needed on Sunday mornings to spend time with toddlers and pre-K children during worship, assist with Bible study classes, and serve as substitute teachers when needed. Additional help is also needed for special events throughout the year, including Vacation Bible School, Masterpiece Arts Camp, and Parents’ Night Out.
