Worship
Sundays at Second
Sundays at Second are a time to worship, learn, and share life together. Whether it’s your first Sunday or your hundredth, you’ll find a community that welcomes you and a place to grow in faith.
What you can expect
When you arrive, you’ll be greeted at the door and handed a worship guide—a simple roadmap for the service, including the order of worship and the songs we’ll sing. The 9:00 a.m. service lasts about 45 minutes, and the 11:00 a.m. service lasts about an hour.
Wiggles are always welcome at Second Baptist! Children who remain in worship can borrow a children’s bag filled with books and quiet activities. Childcare is also available during both services for kids in pre-K and younger.
Between services, Bible study classes for all ages meet from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Stop by the Welcome Center to learn more about the groups available for adults, students, and children—we’ll help you find one that fits.
9:00 a.m. Contemporary Worship
Held in Tutt Chapel, this service is more contemporary in style, featuring worship songs led by acoustic guitar, piano, and other instruments alongside vocalists.
10:00 a.m. Bible Study & Community Groups
Community groups are an intentional way to nurture your relationship with God and one another. We offer weekly Bible study for children, students, and adults, as well as seasonal pop-up studies and other gatherings.
11:00 a.m. Traditional Worship
This traditional service is held in our sanctuary and features our Wicks/Quimby pipe organ, Sanctuary Choir, hymns, and occasionally an orchestra during special seasons.
Worship from Home
Our 11:00 a.m. service is livestreamed each Sunday on YouTube and Facebook, with recordings available afterward.
