Jana Atkinson Morga is a pastoral resident at Second Baptist, where she is learning and growing as a preacher and teacher while offering pastoral care. Through her work, she contributes to the church’s mission of cultivating a meaningful, Christ-centered community that seeks to make a transformative impact in the world.

Jana holds an associate degree from Southwest Texas Junior College and a bachelor’s degree from Baptist University of the Américas. She also holds a leadership certification from the Christian Latina Leadership Institute and a Master of Divinity from Logsdon Seminary. In addition, she brings five years of experience in student ministry, which has further shaped and strengthened her call to pastoral ministry.

Outside of church life, Jana enjoys reading and watching basketball with her husband, Dave. They share their home with their cat, Poe, who brings daily joy to their lives.
