Alena Vaughn-Booth serves as associate pastor of administration and missions at Second Baptist Church, where she oversees the church’s administrative life, including finances, personnel, and property. She also works closely with the mission committee to create meaningful opportunities for missional engagement and maintains mission partnerships locally and globally.

Alena brings extensive experience in pastoral and church ministry, having served in a variety of roles across congregational life. She joined the staff of Second Baptist Church in 2022 as a pastoral resident and continues to serve with a commitment to collaboration, stewardship, and faithful service.

A native of the Piney Woods of East Texas, Alena holds a bachelor’s degree in religion from East Texas Baptist University and a Master of Divinity from Logsdon Seminary. She enjoys traveling, writing, spending time with friends and family, and is an avid stand-up comedy fan. Alena lives with her husband, Cole, and their two dogs, Pax and Zeus.
