STUDENT MINISTRY @ Second Baptist Church
1 Middle School: Grades 6th -7th
Our Middle School Student Ministry is high energy! Coupled with discovery
of how a relationship with God is a journey for life, we want 6th and 7th graders to experience accepting God’s gift
of grace for salvation.
Bible Study . 1
Sundays, 9:45–10:45 a.m.Join Gary Smith, Travis Ferguson, and Beth Dusin, as they lead the Middle School students through various passages of the Bible. Through conversation and listening, you will learn more about what it means to be a follower of Christ.
Formation . 1
Wednesdays, 6:15–7:30 p.m.Room 609 (Student Ministry Room)During this time, we like to play games that are crazy (Four on a Couch, Quadrants, etc.). However, we also have some time for discussion and dialogue about issues such as the Bible, parents, relationships, and making good decisions.
Supper with the Tanks . 1
Friday, September 10 6:00–8:30 p.m.A lot of Middle Schoolers love to cook! Let’s put that to good use. Come to the Tankersleys’ (429 Wilson St.) for a chance to fellowship and eat with one another. If you want to cook a dish/dessert and bring your favorite, that would be great. Let’s just hang out, talk, and play games with one another. I challenge anyone to Mario Kart 64. Bring it on, punks.
Middle School Music
Students can also participate in a choral or handbell choir for
grades 6 and 7. Learn more . . .

acceptance.
Bible Study . 2

Life Group . 2
Wednesdays, 6:00–7:30 p.m.Room 611This is our time to get together and just have conversation with one another. Maybe we will look at a passage in the Bible. Maybe we will read a book together.
