CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

Teaching our children the word of God and teaching them about the love of Jesus is an integral part of Christian Formation at Second Baptist Church.

Goals for Preschool and Children’s Ministry

•To provide leaders who model a growing relationship with God for our children.

•To help each child along the journey of developing his or her own relationship with God.

•To nurture our children’s sense of being connected with our congregation.

•To give each child personal attention.

•To communicate with parents what is happening in the classroom.

•To make the Bible a central element in teaching and learning.

•To make our ministries a safe and inviting place for our children and the friends our children invite to join them.

Children are a valuable part of our fellowship at 2BC! We strive to welcome, love, and teach them as Jesus did. Our Children’s Ministry includes the Preschool Department (birth through pre-kindergarten) and the Elementary Department (grades K-5). There are many opportunities for parents and children to be involved.
